I move around a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in ATHENS OH where I ate at Larrys Dawghouse and I read a new piece about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a few pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

Bamboo Clothing ATHENS

After a bit more research I discovered some interesting facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
