I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in ARLINGTON VA where I ate at Luna Grill & Diner and I saw an interesting article about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought some items of clothing.

I have to say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a little more research I discovered some more amazing pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
