I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in ANDREWS NC where I ate at Paul Brothers and I saw an interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I found some incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
