I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in ALPHARETTA GA where I ate at Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta and I read a really interesting piece on bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and got some pieces of clothing.
I must tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I discovered some other interesting facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
