I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in AKRON OH where I ate at Charlies Barbeque and I saw a new article about bamboo. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some basic items of clothing.
I should say I was pretty impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found some other amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
