I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in AIEA HI where I ate at Sam the Man's BBQ & Ramen and I read a new cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

Bamboo Clothing AIEA

After a little more research I found some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
