I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in ABSECON NJ where I ate at Back in Sicily Gourmet Pizza and I saw a new article on bamboo. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found some incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
