I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating by myself in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in PHILADELPHIA PA where I ate at Blue Horseshoe and I saw a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.
I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I discovered some incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
