I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up eating all alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in SHREVEPORT LA where I ate at Jims Chicken Mr Inc and I read a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and got a couple items of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found some incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
