I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in PHOENIX AZ where I ate at Sam's Cafe and I came across an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a good choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I must admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
