I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating by myself in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in NORRISTOWN PA where I ate at Rays Diner and I read a new cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I found out some other interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
