I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in FALCONER NY where I ate at Bel View Restaurant and I saw a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a good choice for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I must tell you I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
