I travel a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in OCONTO FALLS WI where I ate at Jons Kadlec Ranch and I read a new article to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and got a few basic items of clothing.
I must admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I discovered some more interesting facts on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
