I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in WALTHAM MA where I ate at Friendly Ice Cream Corporation and I read an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After some more research I found some more amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
