I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in CHANTILLY VA where I ate at Kabobs Etc and I read a new cover story on bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.
I should tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
