I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in EUCLID OH where I ate at Bali Ha'l Chinese Restaurant and I came across an interesting article about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found some more interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
