I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating alone in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in DALLAS TX where I ate at Kalachandjis Palace & Restaurant and I read an interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.
I must admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
