I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in GARDEN GROVE CA where I ate at Kim Long Hue Food To Go and I read an interesting cover story on bamboo. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great choice for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple basic items of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some more amazing details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
