I travel a lot for my studies and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in LONDONDERRY NH where I ate at Christo's House of Pizza and I saw an interesting cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
