I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in LOWELL MA where I ate at Highlands Pizza & Seafood Restaurant and I read a new cover story to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased some pieces of clothing.
I must tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
