I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in DENVER CO where I ate at Golden Plate II and I read a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a couple pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found some other interesting facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
