I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in LUBBOCK TX where I ate at Movies 16 and I came across a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I must admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I found out some other amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
