I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in SHREVEPORT LA where I ate at Whataburger and I came across an interesting article to do with bamboo. I did not know you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found out some incredible details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires very little water during the growing period meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
