I move around a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in GREENVILLE SC where I ate at Mackey D'S and I read a really interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a few pieces of clothing.
I must say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After a bit more research I found some other amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
