I move around a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in WILMINGTON OH where I ate at American Restaurant Equipment and I read an interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a couple items of clothing.
I must admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I discovered some amazing facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
